Overview
Plant Basket is a plant store app created at the start of my UX journey, it is designed to help users buy a lot of variety of plants and needs of plants. The ultimate goal is to create an user-centric app that brings out a positive user experience for the user.

My Design Process

1.Empathize
The first step in Design Thinking Process is to get to know user wants and needs. What are their goals and frustrations.I must find out user personality and hobbies.
i conducted  an user interview with 4W's & 1H .
1.Who ?
Suneesha 27 years old works as automation engineer.
2.What ?
Suneesha wakes up in the morning around 6 am to go work . It takes her 3 hours to take the bus. her shift is generally from 10am - 6pm . Then it would take her another 3 hours to get home by bus.
3.Why is the user frustrated ?
She loves plants , they are good for health. They are kind of therapeutic for her.
   Frustrations:
1.No time to buy plants and plant needs.
      2.High cost.
3.All essentials are not in one place.
4.Where?
Suneesha wants to keep her plants in garden and kitchen.
5.How often do the user buy plants?
Suneesha buy plants for monthly once and she even buys after any plant dies due to lack of nutrients, water & light.

2.Define
With the research wrapped up , I moved to second stage of Design Thinking Process.
Problem statement :
People are very busy now a days that they don't have time to go and buy plant in a nursery. They don't have more options. For the accessories, they have to go to different shops. The types of plants that are explained in other applications are few and not comprehensive.
Hypothesis statement :
If Suneesha download plant basket app , then she can order her favorite plants and essentials without confusion and with ease.

3.Ideate
With our research I am ready to move to 'ideate' phase of Design Thinking Process. I would like to built an user friendly mobile application to buy plants and needs of plants online with wider options, providing user a proper information about plants. Affordable products comes directly from farmers.
I drafted a user flow chart to show case my vision of how the app works for the user.

User Flow - Its a chart or diagram showing the path a user will take in an app to complete a task.
4.PrototypeNow I moved to 'Prototype' phase of Design Thinking Process.
Screen sketches :
Now i was ready to create a paper prototype.
Mid Fidelity Prototypes:
Final Design:

On Boarding Screens -
It's sometimes known as First User Experience. It demonstrates the application features.
Login Screens -
Here the registration take place if you are a new user. But if you are already a user and coming to the app after long time or may be you have signed out from it then you have to login again from here .
Home screens -
This includes various sections like categories, discounts, deals of the products and in the bottom app bar you will find some ways to tasks like profile, search, your products lists etc,..
In the top app bar i included a notification and cart options .
Search Screen and Profile Screen -
In Search screen users can search all products they wish to buy or checkout .
In Profile screen users can add their details like Mail id, profile picture and they can see their order history, saved products, about app and they can logout from app or delete app if users want .
Notification Screen and Cart Screens -
In notification screen users can see all notifications here about deals, new products launch updates, etc,.
In cart screen users can see total price details and can checkout after buying products they want .
Shipping and Payment Screen -
Here the users need to provide payment method and  Card details if they select any option other than COD and users need to provide their address where they want to receive their product and here users can see their products Total price and guaranteed delivery  and then finally user can place their order here .
No Internet connection -
This is how it looks if something went wrong or we lost user because of no internet connection.

5.Test:
Usability test:
I conducted Usability test to assess the learnability of new users interacting with plant basket app for the first time .

Future Improvements :
If i had more time to work on this app i would like to add the following features:
  1.Calendar.
  2.Ideas for re-growing plants.
  3.Plant identification Feature.

Key Learning's :
1.Don't wait to be perfect. Embrace your imperfections and create something unique.
2.Don't give up , even when it seems like the goal is unattainable.
3.Always keep in mind the problem that you are trying to solve.
